About Janelle

What can I say about me? I’m a simple woman with simple pleasures, like being outside in the sunshine and spending time with my husband and our dog, Shelby, and our new son, Seth. I’m a comic-book geek and have been since a young age and can remember the rush I would get pouring over those vibrantly colored glossy pages when I first cracked open a new-to-me issue (I usually purchased them second-hand); I felt like an adventurer and they took me to another world. They still do.

I love to cook and experiment with flavors and show people love through my food. I love someone, I cook for them. I want to comfort someone, I cook for them. I want to congratulate someone, I cook for them. You get the idea. Food is my emotional outlet, as well as my artistic one.

I’m a child of God. Everything I do stems from that. Every talent I was given, every purpose in my life, everything I have, given to me by Him. I want to use every breath I have to live with reckless abandon for God and show the love He has given me to others with no agenda of my own. I fall short and I fail every day, but I try. I will continue to try. Here are some of my efforts.
